little bit of somthing

I'm a terrible blogger...I don't know how long it's been...It's just that nothing interesting is really happening in the Rodrick World right now...Last week, my baby(tear rolls down cheek) went to Vacation Bible School in Uriah...as soon as we got there, he was like Mom, are you going yet....(sobbing now)....He's only 3 and already he doesn't need me....I wanted him to want me a little bit but oh well...guess he's growing up....(wipes face)..my husband was like he'll be fine...I said I know but that's still my baby....the whole week, he was like GO HOME, MOM...I only stayed for like 5 minutes to make sure his teacher got there and knew that he was there...when I got home each night...I was like ok, what do I do now....first time in 3 1/2 years, literally, the first time, I don't have Riley here....so what do I do.....never did figure that out the whole week....well, enough about me being mentally unstable....We just found out the WIGGLES are coming to Mobile in July...so I guess Chris, Riley, and MYself are going to see 30- something year old men dance and sing...can't wait...just kidding...it'll be fun...I guess I've rambled enough....Pray that something exciting*(and good) happens so I'll write some better blogs......

My butt crack hurts....lol

I've been working at the Huxford Post Office part time for about a year now. I'm gonna be working full-time for like 6 or 7 weeks, one of the women had surgery. Anyway, Niki(my sister) keeps my little boy, Riley, whenever I have to work...Yesterday, her little girl, Brianna, had to go to the dentist, so Riley went with them. They were sitting in the waiting room, waiting for Brianna to get through...the waiting room has a few people in it...Riley looks at Niki and says, out of the blue, "Last night in the bathtub, my butt crack was hurting." She just said ok....that didn't satisfy him...so her told her again, only louder...Needless to say, everyone in the dentist's office cracked up...Leave it to my son....

The Next Preacher

I truly believe that Riley is either going to be a preacher or a politician......when we go to church , he has to wear his tie and shake everyone's hand....he is involved with every aspect of church...he plays his guitar in the choir, helps take up the offering, helps his sunday school teacher teach the class...esp. when he's the only one there..he told me the other day that Peter was walking on the water with Jesus and then a big fish came and ate him....I told his Sunday School teacher, I hope this isn't what she was teaching him...too funny...lol....so here he is in his tie like Brother Ronald, our Pastor.....

Boring Week

Not a lot has been happening in the Rodrick household...just normal everyday stuff...work(sometimes) and just livin' life....Sorry I haven't written anything in a while(Summer, I think you are the only one that reads my blogs) but just haven't had anything to write about...Riley has been in a mood for 2 weeks now...he thinks he should just get to do anything he wants to do..thinks he shouldn't have to listen to me...so, needless to say...I need NERVE PILLS....lol.....the other day he wanted to go outside and I told him when I got through cooking we could go....so he looks at me, turns around and gets his guitar...and says...I bet you'll let me when I play you a song....a 3 year old is trying to bribe me...too funny...I let him play, told him it was great, then said, we can go outside after I get through cooking...he looked at me like what's wrong with you....so, that's all for now...maybe life will get more interesting later...and I'll have better stories....

Dinosaur Adventure Land

This past Saturday, our church youth group went to Dinosaur Adventure Land. It's located in Pensacola, FL. It's an amusement park where dinosaurs and the bible meet. We had a blast, big and little kids..They had a physical challenge that had a religious meaning with it...it was really fun....

Dont' take it back

This weekend my husband, Chris, borrowed a friend's tractor to do some yard work with. Riley has been begging me to buy him one ever since his daddy let him ride it. He told me to look on Ebay and buy one. Guess you can tell I'm hooked on Ebay..it's bad when your 3 year old knows it too. So today, I had to work, and when I got home Riley is upset because his daddy is taking the tractor back home. Riley thinks we should just keep it...so guess I'm gonna have to start looking on Ebay for a tractor....lol

Ready for VBS

We're starting to get ready for VBS again this year at our church and I am so excited...So I decided to put some pics from previous VBS' on here for all to enjoy....I think I enjoy VBS as much, probably more, than the kids do. I am the craft teacher, have been for the past 2 years and I absolutely adore doing it....It's so much fun to see the kids, especially the little, little, ones and how much they enjoy doing EVERYTHING....even the little things excite them...I always have a blast...this year's theme is GOD'S BIG BACKYARD...so everything is oversized...HUGE ladybugs, grasshoppers, bugs, everything...sounds like it's gonna be a blast...
